Close Reading with Non-Traditional Texts

Complex text is not always words on paper. Coaches can help teachers use different artistic media to facilitate close reading and text-dependent analysis. Through the BDA cycle of consultation, coaches help teachers understand how these "non-traditional texts" can engage teachers and students in new ways, allowing them to make deep connections to the texts.
