Objectives:

  • To clarify the role of the PIIC coach and the BDA coaching model
  • To evaluate the current status of the PIIC program in our schools
  • To revise the 2013-14 group action plan
  • To share successful literacy strategies for use in coaching
  • To apply literacy strategies to non-text content
  • To evaluate and demonstrate the Learning Communities standard for professional learning (Learning Forward)
  • To begin formulating goals and training agendas for the coming year

      • Read and discuss 15 Minutes to a Transformed Lesson, using the text-rendering strategy of your choice.
      • On chart paper: Design a graphic to present the main points of the article.
