  • To clarify the role of the PIIC coach and the BDA coaching model
  • To evaluate the current status of the PIIC program in our schools
  • To share successful engagement strategies for use in coaching
  • To apply vocabulary as a pre-writing tool
  • To begin formulating goals and training agendas for the coming year

  • ‘Paper Airplane Vocabulary’ lesson’
    • o Come up with 7-10 vocab words for a lesson about paper airplanes
    • o Make paper airplane
    • o Choose How, Why, or Who card
      • § Write on how you made airplane, why you made it like you did, or who (fiction) about paper airplane, using all of the vocab words
      • § Write words on a topic, then get someone else’s plane
      • § Write based on other person’s words
